‘A Hendrix-influenced heavy psychedelic trio from Philadelphia, who even managed a pretty decent cover of Red House’ – Fuzz, Acid & Flowers
A hard rock power trio who pay their respects to Hendrix with a strong version of Red House, then lay waste with a blitzkrieg of superb heavy psychedelic guitar… Like Led Zeppelin, they never let the blues influences swamp the rock’ – Endless Trip
In the wake of the Jimi Hendrix Experience, a large number of psychedelic heavy rock three-pieces formed. The explosive Thunder & Roses were one of the best. Consisting of singer / guitarist Chris Bond, bassist Tom Schaffer and drummer George Emme, they hailed from Philadelphia and issued only one album, which originally appeared in July 1969 and makes its long-overdue CD debut here.
