‘Among the better tracks on the album we find Another Time Around, where the Moog and flute melt nicely together in the middle. Fly, Fly, The Route, Shoot is a quirky tune that manages to be bouncy and laid-back at the same time, dominated by a melody that sticks to your head already the first time you hear it. Pebbles On The Beach features a very Tull-ish, medieval-like flute part, and Pick Me Up (And Put Me Back On The Road Again) is a decent rocker’ – Time Has Told Me

If formed in 1969 as a British answer to US jazz-rock bands such as Chicago and Blood, Sweat & Tears. After three years of intensive touring (sharing stages with Miles Davis, Cream, Traffic, Yes and others) and several albums, the original line-up splintered in 1972. The following year, founder member and sax / flute virtuoso Dick Morrissey formed a new line-up to record Double Diamond. Boasting a more progressive sound (with prominent Moog synthesizer), it was only issued in Germany, making it a rare and collectable piece of the jazz-rock jigsaw today.
