Artist: Blossom Toes Title: What On Earth – Rarities 1967-69 Cat No: SBRCD5071
• Previously unreleased material • Full booklet with rare photographs • Treasure trove for psych fans
‘One of the best underground British rock acts of the '60s, noted for both their droll psychedelic pop and a heavier, dual lead guitar-oriented sound’ – Richie Unterberger, www.allmusic.com
‘The archetypal mid-to-late 60s English band: talented, imaginative, full of potential’ – Ptolemaic Terrascope
Following the November 1967 release of We Are Ever So Clean, Blossom Toes spent 18 months gigging hard and recording numerous tracks that, for one reason or another, never saw the light of day – until now. Culled from long-lost acetates and tapes, What On Earth spans home demos and studio recordings, including previously unheard songs as well as early renditions of material that appeared on their July 1969 swansong, If Only For A Moment. Ranging from delicate ballads to heavy psychedelic rock, the set is a veritable treasure trove for the band’s legion of admirers.
